Si esta es una experiencia familiar para ti, es posible que est\u00e9s lidiando con <strong>trauma<\/strong>. Cualquier cosa que te resulte muy estresante puede ser traum\u00e1tica.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/screening.mhanational.org\/es\/content\/is-all-trauma-the-same\/\">El trauma es diferente para cada persona.<\/a>\u2014lo que para otra persona puede parecer normal, para ti puede ser traum\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>Una experiencia traum\u00e1tica puede ser una amenaza para tu seguridad f\u00edsica, como un accidente automovil\u00edstico. Tambi\u00e9n puede ser algo m\u00e1s emocional o social. El trauma puede ser un evento \u00fanico, como un ataque violento. O puede ser continuo, como el abandono infantil. Cosas como el abuso, los desastres naturales, la muerte repentina, el acoso, la pobreza y la discriminaci\u00f3n pueden provocar una respuesta traum\u00e1tica.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfC\u00f3mo es pasar por un trauma?<\/h2>\n<p>La mayor\u00eda de las personas sienten ansiedad y miedo durante y despu\u00e9s de un evento traum\u00e1tico. Algunas desarrollan s\u00edntomas a largo plazo que afectan su funcionamiento diario.<\/p>\n<p>El trauma puede ocurrir a cualquier edad. Sin embargo, tiene un impacto particularmente duradero en los ni\u00f1os, ya que sus cerebros a\u00fan se encuentran en pleno desarrollo.<\/p>\n<p>Todos respondemos a las situaciones y los sentimientos de manera diferente, por lo que no todas las personas que comparten una experiencia contigo tendr\u00e1n la misma reacci\u00f3n. No hay una forma \u201ccorrecta\u201d o \u201cincorrecta\u201d de pensar, sentir o actuar despu\u00e9s de vivir un evento traum\u00e1tico. Sin embargo, es posible que experimentes algunos de estos s\u00edntomas:<\/p>\n<h3>S\u00edntomas emocionales comunes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Miedo, ansiedad<\/li>\n<li>Conmoci\u00f3n, incredulidad<\/li>\n<li>Confusi\u00f3n, dificultad para enfocar<\/li>\n<li>Ira<\/li>\n<li>Culpa, verg\u00fcenza<\/li>\n<li>Tristeza, desesperanza<\/li>\n<li>Sentirse desconectado o entumecido<\/li>\n<li>Sentir que todo est\u00e1 fuera de tu control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>S\u00edntomas f\u00edsicos comunes<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Problemas para dormir, pesadillas.<\/li>\n<li>Fatiga, agotamiento<\/li>\n<li>Mareos, temblores<\/li>\n<li>Coraz\u00f3n acelerado, respiraci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida.<\/li>\n<li>Sentirse nervioso<\/li>\n<li>Dolores corporales, tensi\u00f3n muscular<\/li>\n<li>Aumento del consumo de sustancias<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>\u00bfCu\u00e1nto tiempo duran los efectos del trauma?<\/h2>\n<p>Los s\u00edntomas del trauma suelen durar entre unos d\u00edas y unos meses. El trauma es duro para la mente. Es posible que no se sienta como de costumbre durante un tiempo. En muchos casos, los s\u00edntomas desaparecer\u00e1n gradualmente con el paso del tiempo y a medida que procese lo sucedido. Una vez que se sienta mejor, es com\u00fan que los recuerdos o emociones dolorosos resurjan ocasionalmente, especialmente en respuesta a aniversarios del evento u otras cosas que le recuerden el trauma. Las cosas que te traen recuerdos o s\u00edntomas del trauma se llaman <strong>disparadores<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Si sus s\u00edntomas no mejoran o empeoran, es posible que est\u00e9 lidiando con <a href=\"https:\/\/screening.mhanational.org\/es\/content\/what-is-posttraumatic-stress-disorder-ptsd\/\">trastorno por estr\u00e9s postraum\u00e1tico (TEPT)<\/a>. Aunque el peligro haya pasado, tu cerebro se queda \u201catrapado\u201d en ese miedo y le cuesta seguir adelante.
