With Deep TMS, a cushioned helmet is placed over a patient&#8217;s head and brief electromagnetic fields\u2013similar to those used in an MRI\u2013are generated, targeting the different parts of the brain that control depression and OCD.<\/p>\n<p>Deep TMS is typically administered in 20-minute sessions for four to five weeks but can vary based on the doctor&#8217;s assessment of the patient.
