About this provider
BrainsWay’s Deep TMS is an FDA-approved, noninvasive and medication-free treatment option for major depressive disorder (MDD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
About this service
Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (Deep TMS) is a noninvasive therapy that is effective in patients with treatment-resistant depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). With Deep TMS, a cushioned helmet is placed over a patient’s head and brief electromagnetic fields–similar to those used in an MRI–are generated, targeting the different parts of the brain that control depression and OCD.
Deep TMS is typically administered in 20-minute sessions for four to five weeks but can vary based on the doctor’s assessment of the patient. Patients remain awake during the treatment and can return to normal activities, such as driving, immediately following the session.
Pricing Information
BrainsWay’s Deep TMS treatment for MDD is covered by most insurance companies and HMOs in the United States. OCD coverage is currently available on a case agreement basis.
If you are planning to receive treatment, please speak to your insurance provider for information on reimbursement and coverage:
What People Are Saying
It's an amazing feeling. I am not afraid to talk to people and I engage in conversation. Before, I would avoid talking to people at all costs. Michelle
